Dr Sasha Saugh, an aquatic veterinarian, researcher and consultant specialising in aquatic animal health, welfare and aquaculture systems.
Her experience spans clinical veterinary practice, government regulatory systems, international welfare research, policy development, industry standards and technical assessment.

Co-led the development of South Africa's first National Aquatic Animal Health and Welfare Plan
Contributed to the Aquaculture Stewardship Council Technical Working Group on shrimp welfare standards and certification
Co-led international aquatic animal welfare research involving 10 Vietnamese universities and 400+ educators, students and industry stakeholders
Conducted welfare risk research across 39 commercial shrimp farms in five countries
MSc in Aquatic Veterinary Studies from the University of Stirling
WAVMA Certified Aquatic Veterinarian
Aquatic veterinary training (AquaVet ®) Cornell University.
